Our group studies mechanistic and functional characteristics in plants under stress in two lines of research focusing on rehabilitating areas degraded by mining companies and mitigating anthropogenic impacts and climate change on crops of agronomic interest.

Our group works in two main lines of research. The first in the synthesis, characterization, and application of ceramic materials in the treatment of water and effluents and in agricultural applications. The second is synthesizing fullerene derivatives and application as components of solar cells. Our work is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 6 – clean water and sanitation and 7 – clean and affordable energy.
